From novices to advanced fencers, OUFC provides a safe, friendly, and fun place to train, with an excellent atmosphere, and professional coaching for all levels. See our membership options below.

An Introduction To OUFC

Foil, epee and sabre are all on offer at the club; our training times can be found here. The quality of fencing is high across all three weapons with several members representing their country internationally. The club also benefits from several non-University members attending training sessions.

We have a flourishing program for people new to fencing. Our beginners are guided by professionally qualified coaches as they learn foil in preparation for the annual Novice Varsity match, which takes place in Trinity Term. This gives beginners the opportunity to fence competitively and experience a match against our arch-rivals.
